Beautiful feather starfish! Does it like anything in particular?(food)
Feather stars love Ultra min F! My current feed for them besides what I normally my aquarium is: mix in 1/2 a cup of tank water, 2 drops of FM Ultra Bio, 2 drops of Ultramin S in with an 1/8th of a teaspoon of Ultra Min F, one cube of red cyclops, 2 cubes of blended mysis (bullet blender and tank water) 1ml of Reef Nutrition OysterFeast. Then I dose the feather stars directly using a Kent Sea Squirt (surge feeding). This direct dosing is done at night after the light have been out for a few hours. I started feeding them this way after I read an article on crinoids and their feeding habits. The article spoke about how they would expand there arms out, fill their guts til full, then not open again until their guts were empty. Mike
Mine also loves bacterial aggregates from BP-Biopellets
I don't target feed so my feather star stays "open" most of the time. Of course there are a lot of differences between species, I haven't tried to ID mine yet.
What a awesome center piece Mike, glad you got it!
Congrats on the new found internet fameEveryone seems to enjoy your tank as much as we do here on RC!

Mike,
Thanks, great resource
I have a many papers about crinoids, if anyone is interested PM me.
BTW, feather stars are most certainly *not* "selective eaters"
