Randy Donowitz from Manhattan Reefs who remembered I was looking for the longest for this fish and got the deal rolling

Dominick Cirigliano of Diamonds of the Reef who hooked me up and got the fish in for me. Dude you rock!

Immediately unbagged the fish at the airport, put it in a bucket with a portable air pump, and drove home.

This is something I try to strictly avoid. Aeration in the shipping bag drives CO2 out, raises pH, converts ammonium to ammonia, stresses the fish...the low pH in the bag is beneficial to detoxify the ammonia. But, just my 2 cents and don't mean to armchair QB. Glad everything worked out!

Thanks Erik! I could only wish to have a quarter of the photography skill of Gary and I would be in good shape Dominick brought in a sweet order in it was a bandit angel, harem of flame wrasses, 4 beautiful hawaiian Pervagor spilosoma, just to name a few. Everything was high quality.

So what is the up to date stocking list now?

Holanthias fuscipennis
Pseudoplesiops rosae (cryptic)
Lubbockichthys multisquamatus (cryptic)
West African Serranus sp. (banned to my sump)
Centrogenys vaidiensi
Plesiops oxycephala (cryptic)
Pseudanthias parvirostris x4 (I had 5 but one of the females met it's fate with the Vortech)

All the cryptic fish you will only find in the rock work with a flashlight. They pop out of the rockwork to eat and dart back in. Now, the Plesiops oxycephala has been getting a little bolder and has been visible as he has gotten bigger. Such a beatiful fish, almost impossible to catch a photo of, but he is fat and happy.

What happened to the Ellerkeldia?

I was given a very good offer for him so I sold him. I got about twice of what I paid for it. So it was a decent amount of money

Actually I have access to a red Suttonia suttoni or Suttonia lineata if Jason still has it at GA. Not sure which one it is after I saw the thread H. Tanaka commented on. I think I have video of it I could put up.

I used to have a pair of S. suttoni. Very cool fish. No idea how they'd interact with your current guys tho...

I dont think they will get along with the Plesiops oxycephala. The P. oxycephala can get mean and it coes rule the cryptic areas of the tank. Now once I set-up my larger tank...I believe they will be on my fish list. I love to watch as there looks like nothing is in the tank and once food is added, everthing just seems to come out of nowhere, and the tank comes to life. Pretty cool.

Not much has been going on with the tank. Have been working on improving the phosphate management of the system. With the addition of automatic feeding systems in non-photosynthetic aquariums, phosphate needs to be monitored often. Majority of azoox corals are tolerable of moderate PO4. Water changes and carbon dosing help, but there is a limit to them, so other options need to be weighed.

how is the dendronephthya cutting doing?

Cuttings are doing well, try to get either pics or video up of them this weekend.There are 3 main cuttings total. One of the cuttings dropped one or two polyps initially and they are slowly growing next to it.
