I'm thinking about putting a AC70 in the back of my 24Nano, what are peoples experience with these pumps? I know it's no Maxijet, but Maxis don't go up to 400gph.

If so, they used to also be known as Hagen 802.
I have had several running non-stop for a few years with a tank I bought. I haven't had problems with any of them. They have more flow adjustment options than you get with a Maxijet.
I'm also happy with all my Maxijets. None of my Rios are running right now.

I need a pump to drive the rear chambers, I have a maxi 1200 with a hydro running as a powerhead in the display, but want something that pushes more than 295gph in the rear chambers. Can the Tunze be modded to do this?
I used to run the 802 as my return from the sump for my old tank. now, I use it as my spare powerhead when I need it. Like now its in my tank as my seio croaked on me. I haven't had any problems with it and I use to run it on a wavemaker.
These aren't that small, is it going to fit in the back of the nano?

The review of the Nanocube 24 on the main homepage of RC said that he did. Hope he's right!

After great sucess with a stock dlx 12 gallon, I decided to purchase the new generation 24 gallon with the Viper k-2 lighting system as a package. Ill review the lights a on a seperate post. After stocking I have come to the conclusion that the pump is inadequate (as with ALL nano package systems). I upgraded to an AC 70 and it runs like a top. Solid crafstmanship and a drastic improvement from the original. The only suggestion I could add for JBJ would be to aim for a pump with higher GPH and more reliability. For the money it is spot on without the top (for MH systems) @ a meger $110.00 usd. About the price of a nice glass tank without any features.

Thin sheilding on the chord and they tend to stiffen over time in saltwater. We had them originally in our salt tanks and over time they are being replaced with Maxi's. Not the same amount of GPH but alot less "electrifying" if you know what I mean.
