I calculated it out and it's a little over 7g per kg of salt. So your estimates are right.

Only ask because i mixed up my second water change to only have a little bit of salt left normally i get three out of 22kg of salt just shows how much extra stuff is in the salt

AF states, 22kg makes 615 liters ( 162 US gal.) at a salinity of 33ppt.

I guess there's some inconsistency there. I read on their site that 3.80 kg will make 100l or 27g of water at 75 degree and 33 ppt. So based on that info a 22kg bucket would make 156g. I'm getting ready to mix some up today. I will carefully measure it out and keep track to see how many gallons I get out of a 25kg bag.

Talked to a couple fellow reefers yesterday at the local watering hole (reef shop) who I turned on to the program a few weeks ago. Both are using all the biotics foods salt and trace dosing products that AF offers. They were excited to say their colors are really coming in now.

How long are you guys storing your AF Probiotic salt in your mixing station? do you apply current and heat? Do you heat to test salinity?

I'm just about done redoing my saltwater mixing station/store. I will be doing AWC of 5-7 gallons a week. My mixing container will hold a month's worth of fresh saltwater. It's in my basement which gets pretty cold (50s on cold days). Since I'll only be changing a gallon at a time over 30 min. i'm not worried about the temp impacting my tank; just not sure on this salt handling the swing why sitting in a bin for a month. I use to keep my new saltwater heated and flowing; but i'm leaning towards this being unnecessary.
