Aquaforest Sea Salt

Hey Mike,
Saw this on the AF Sponsor page, but will get to it here instead :) This salt is really designed for fish only or softy tanks. It is formulated with NSW values, but not with trace minerals, that is where I think for this application it is lacking. I know Biggles used it as a goof originally, but I think he went over to Reef Salt, hopefully he will chime in. I do not see any harm in using it if you are willing to supplement the trace minerals, otherwise, maybe Reef Salt or Probiotic Reef Salt is better advised for use with SPS corals. Anyway, feel free to message me directly if I can help in any way :)

Thanks Perry. I wonder how this salt compares to regular IO, which is what I use now. If better then I would opt to use this instead.
Cheers!

Yes, I agree and from my understanding, it does directly compare to IO, and the Reef Salt is comparable to Reef Crystals, and the Probiotic is more in a level of it's own. If find the Probiotic Reef salt is best used with the Full Probiotic program.

Aquaforest Probiotic Reef Salt, 22 kg
From Amazon:
Fully synthetic marine salt created for coral cultures, especially SPS
Its formula is designed tocreate the best conditions for marine animals
Makes roughly 30 Gallons of Saltwater at 1,024 S.G
Phosphate and nitrate free

Is that a typo or it can only Makes roughly 30 Gallons of Saltwater at 1,024 S.G?

It says the same thing for the 5KG container, guessing poor proofreading.
