Hey All,
I ran across a 36" 1x150W and 2x65W PC fixture.
I was wondering how you guys feel about this light fixture?
Does the lights actually "put out"?
Does the Metal Halide, focus really on one part of the tank?

Any other suggestions Help trust me.
Thanks

I have the 250 watt version and it grows my sps great. Would recommend it to anyone. The other great thing about them is they use m80 ballasts. Overdrive your bulbs

I have a 150w 36" unit. I like it alot, but I added a second 150w MH. I didn't like that the single bulb was driectly over my center brace. But it was bright. And is even brighter now.

i have some before and after pics of my aqualight pro mod that i can post. i too had this same fixture. i actually still do and i am replacing it with a tek setup. the stock 150 and bulb and pcs arent that bright. i swapped out the pcs for t5s and the 150 for a 250. both are on ice cap ballasts. i wouldnlt ever do a signle bulb setup with a 3' tank again. i wouldnt get that light its not that well made, plus it uses ignitors, which it makes it necessary to take them out before replacing the ballast.

I have thought about adding T5's so many times. Was it pretty easy to do. I also would never get a single bulb in the center on a 36" tank. Like stated above the single was O.K. but I would recomend something that isn't right over the center brace, unless your tank has a eruo brace or something.

As far as the construction of it I don't think its bad.
