Ok I finally caved. As someone who considers themself a Tunze guy I would like to say I hate it but I cant. This pump does some really cool stuff that Tunze just cant touch. Just like everybody else that has owned one, I now want another. LOL

Great my man!!
Welcome to the VORTEX lol now you gonna go round n round. This lil gadget gonna keep you engaged for weeks :D coz of it's combinations and options.
No turning back now :D
I got a second one for my new tank couple of days ago

They really do produce a wide gentle flow. I like my pair but I have an issue with the sleep mode slowly creeping from the original time. It's a known issue and the solution is a driver update...just haven't had time/desire to send it in.

My biggest problem is that I bought it used and it didn't come with any paper work. I don't think I know half of the features on this thing.

Yep it's the older version driver. It sure can be set up with ease. Though the Eco smart driver upgrade sure will allow some fine tuning plus some confusing wave-button pressing setups :D
Justin at Vortech will sure help ya out. Just shoot him an email for the manual.

Awesome tank!

Thanks guys!!!

Thanks M&T, my days are numbered with zoanthids. There are way too many butterflies and angels calling my name, someone is bound to munch on them eventually.

Nice updates, Brett!

Brett, Your tank is really looking good! Thanks so much for sharing the pics... wish we could keep our zoa's in our DT.

I actually don't have any problems with the angels/butterflies picking on the zoas. The culprit was actually my bristletail filefish. Once he was moved, the zoas came back to life.

Hiya Brett,
Looking beautiful. The side shot with the anemone is a real stand out pic.
Acros plump and healthy nice colours too.
A+ my man!!
So how many Vortechs do ya have now? How's the arrangement of the wave pumps? Just taking cues from ya for my new tank :)

Happy Reefing!!

Thanks RN:beer:, Still just one. It takes me months to drop that kinda fish $$$$ money on a pump, LOL. When Im done, I will have 2 Tunze 6105's and 2 MP40's on opposite corners. I love the difference in flow between the two and I think it will be the best of both world to have 2 of each.

That anemone is getting too big!!! I keep thinking about selling it but cant bring myself to take it away from the clowns, Im a softy like that, haha. I wish it would just split, so I can just get rid of half of it. It looks like it has two mouths though so maybe my wish will come true.

Thanks Kenny, I hope my tank works out that way too. Would you mind sending your Tinkers pair over so I can give it a shot? I love em so much!!! Some day I will have me some :bounce1:

we are moving to Greensboro NC from the uk later in the year only 2000 miles away i think it would be worth the drive to see this in the flesh !!
