Aquapod....anybody have one?

if you look in the nano reef subforum you can find lots of people that have this tank. i've heard good things about them, i may get one. only bad info i've read has had to do with them cracking during shipment.

70 watts PC is more than enough to sustain corals. Granted not an rbta or SPS but anything else (just about)

I've had some ups and downs with them so far.... I had given up on it, but a mix up with the retailer got me to give it one more shot.
The second week into my THIRD tank is going OK.
There is a 150w version availabe from nanocustoms.com. Talk to Chris over there.

we sold them at our store for about 2 weeks. 12 outof 15 came back because they cant keep the temp under 83*. this is due to the fact tha tthe ballast for the PC is in the hood next to the bulb. we called current and they pretty much told us there is nothing you can do and they are working to make new ones with remote ballasts. so for now we are sticking to the nano cubes, which arnt mych better.

also, expect to see the coralife version that is due out in march. remote ballasts, MH built in option. shoulf be nice.

but stay away from the aquapods until they fix the overheating issue.

Was the temp problem only with the pc lighting? I was thinking of purchasing the one with the HQI MH bulb. It comes with stands to sit on top of the aquapod. I did notice on the pic that it has a cooling fan on one of the sides. I'm going to try and call petsolutions to see if they offer the 150 watt aquapod.

Another question I have is the heat output of the MH. Does the 150 watt bulb produce more heat then the 70 watt bulb?
