Aquarium controller and rotating Tunze Stream

Transfor coil (toroid) is on sale in every shop with electronic components.
I bought 120 VA, 2x18 V tranformer, which is sufficient for two Tunze pumps.

I would just say to be careful to keep the pump clean because it doesn't have the safety shut off features of the factory model which has thermastatic protection and impedence protection so, the problem would be the pump can take as many VA as it wants and this would destroy the electronics and the pump once about 70VA is exceeded. This would only occur if the pump was stuck in a certain position so it is not likely but it is possible.

Roger, thanks for advice

I didnt know that pump protection is inside transformer. I supposed that protection is inside drive (blue box). I have also Tunze transformer, so I will test this transformer to find out what protection is inside and add this protection to my transformer. In any case, if protection is inside transformer unit, it is better idea , that we use Tunze Transformer (12V,16V,20V for Europe).

In the electronic pumps there is protection in the driver and the transformer. The problem is if the driver gets wet or damaged in anyway you lose that protection and the pump itself is unprotected because it is low voltage and the rest of the circuit has numerous safeties.
