Hi just got a copy..it is great...question....im starting a tank and have 20ppm of nitrates...do i enter 20 or .20? thanks

Thanks for the link on this, gonna work great. One question tho, the last tab is "parameters," and is all filled out. What is this one for? I am guessing it has to do with safe ranges but there are no names for the values shown, just a bunch of numbers.

Again, thanks for providing us with this, really cool.

The ranges on that page should not be touched. When you make changes to the acceptable ranges in your tank on the top two rows, they will automatically be updated and be used in the formulas throughout the other sheets.

***The sheet is also protected so that sheet is only read only.

For some reason (maybe because I have the newest version of Microsoft Office), it doesn't show the acceptable parameters at the top of the chart like that pic, the ranges are all my themselves on the last tab. Either way I am not touching those numbers like you said.

Thanks much

No, I was. It even showed it as line 1. When I turned my computer back on, it was fixed so I'm guessing it had something to do with the macro settings.

Sorry I haven't checked in here in a couple days, thanks for fielding the questions guys.

You'll want your nitrates entered as .20

That is correct the parameters sheet is used to set the acceptable lines for the graph sheets, that entire sheet is populated based on the parameters you enter on the top of he results sheet. If you click one of the cells on the parameters sheet you should be able to see the formula it's using to reference the cells in the results sheet. The parameters sheet is protected so you will not be able to change any of the information there.

I hope everyone is enjoying the sheet and finding it easy to understand and usefull for maintaining your water chemistry. Please feel free to ask any questions or post suggestions or feedback, I'll do my best to answer, adjust, and improve.

This document is awesome. I was literally working to create something like this and stucmbled across this thread.

Thanks for sharing with the class!!!!

Great work.

Hi, I'm just downloaded this file, but when I try to open it there is a page with a big red arrow, "You must enable macros to open this, click the options button above the red arrow and check the box for "enable this content"
I've opened it in Excel viewer but I don't have the options button it refers to

Do you have the full version of Excel, or just the viewer? I'm not sure if macros will work in the viewer. If it's the full version what release do you have?

Nice tool btw Mojave. Thanks for sharing!

You'll need to have the full version, open office will not support macros. If you have the full version then it could be a trust center setting. Let me know what you're working with and I'll help you get it sorted.
