Aquarium Painting?

yup im gonna use a black latex on the back of mine but since mines already in place and such ill have ta use a roller to get it......bit of a pain but oh well huh :D

yeah, the 125 , no spraying for me, im going to need to hide pipes once i get the sump built, will post my ideas on that later...

I would not paint inside the tank with any kind of paint, But for no other reason than it can and will start peeling off! And I wouldn't trust paint in my tank period.

I used Rust-oleum 2x coat on the back of mine with no issues. kyrylon fusion for the plastic trim, but that is coming off from the salt water

The best way is just buy the Black Back Vinyl at the LFS and it lasts forever, And it's easy to install in about 5 min.

The only issue with the vinyl is trying to add that to a running tank. He is wanting to paint the back of his 125, that is running.

He can still use that backing, and either way, with the wall back there, it is a challenge. if you use the backer, rub a very thin coating of vaseline over the either back of the tank. then take a credit card and smooth it out and you will have a bubbless backing that will last for years. that is what I had on my old 75 and it looked painted. works great and will definately last and is 100% reversible. Painting it would work as well. just roll it on with a roller. Not sure how much room you have behind the tank, but either way you will have fun when you get to the center of a 6' tank!
