aquarium swap out

Looks like I've only got to be home by 2 to scrub up for the wedding, so if all goes by your plans it can be swapped and a 6 pack or two polished off after the plumbing is done in that amount of time....

BTW, ladies, you rock. 43% of the URS ladies have volunteered and 2% of the guys have, way to represent boys.... :)

hahaha...we're still waiting for the green light. but it looks like there might be enough "strong men" so i think I'll go bake something. :)

Gary-

If you can, post to this thread Saturday morning and let us know where you stand. My daughter is "competing" in a mini-triathalon tomorrow, but if you need some help with cleanup and other odds-and-ends after the major swap, let me know. I'd be happy to help and earn some reefkeeping karma! :)

gary, i sent you a PM...but ignore time. I'll be there by noon to help.

and yes, the URS ladies TOTALLY rock. (and we're pretty strong, too.)

ary how many confirmed people do you have if needed I can prob slide it in while we are out but I dont want to be number 150 to be helping haha

as you can imagine

as you can imagine

too many cooks can spoil this soup quickly BUT without help I can't do it alone.

Water and electricity can be a deadly combo and that's why I hope everyone understands why I don't want anyone's children over here.
Please understand my situation: I can't do it alone but I can't really be a gracious and doting host today.

many thanks

many thanks

it's 10:00AM and I'm all wet so you won't be seeing many more posts by me until later. If you want to help c'mon over. I don't have any refershments- sorry.

As I've learned from past experiences, the carpet anemone has been removed first and will be kept isolated from other creatures. (Info for cully :) )

it's over and it's looking a little different.
thanks to those that helped- I couldn't have done it without you!

some quick things to remember during such a transfer:

*portable GFI powerstrip comes in handy to keep powerheads in tubs safely circulating water
*extra powerheads that work
*carpet anemone first out and last in
*painkillers for the day after

I had to modify my first "restack" for the Angelfish (who wanted his cave back).
Junior's area still needs some work and I believe I can work the Gorgonian into it. This would be a very good thing. No fish losses. Only coral losses (so far) were those that I weeded out.

I'm numb. I got stung by everything including fire corals and the carpet anemone (which still hasn't settled in properly).
The skimmer is going nuts.

Obviously there needs to be some fine tuning but I'm calling it a night.

Once again, thanks to those that helped an any way large or small- I couldn't have done it without you.
I'm a hurtin' unit right now so no pix until tomorrow.
