600 Gallons Wow, You guys with your big Tanks, how in the world do you ever get the Wives to agree?

As long as I keep up on the shared expenses I can do anything I want with my "left over" money...

Shawn, what size tank is that again? Isn't it like 568 gallons?

600gal is the outside measurements... If you take the "actual" inside it would be

94.5x46.5x28.75 for 546.9gal :(

hmmm he suffers from SE (Size Exaggeration). Very common in young Males  Well if it's only 568 Gallons Im not impressed :o
and dont tell me you added the sump into it. When you get a true 600 you can join us again :D

No with the sump and ref added in I will be close to 800gal total water vol and that is before I place the 220gal FOWLR tank on it :o

Hey did I tell you I got a new car?? :o OK OK I admit it, my 90 is smaller than your sump,,, Im a failure,,,failure,,,Booohoooo ahhhh
:sad1:

Quick update on my salinity meter, it doesn't work (how was that for quick). I've lost faith in the conductivity meter and would love to speak to Ron about returning it for my money back. I do not have the time to mess around with this thing any more. The whole reason you buy a controller is to give you piece of mind and make your life easier, this thing has done the complete opposite. I take that back, the controller is great, it's the conductivity module and probe that are ****ing me off. I'm posting it here because AO is really bad about responding to emails.

I am interested to see what the firmwareupdate. I think they delayed it so they can work out a lot of these things. There seams to be some issues with the currant firmware.

Did you send me an email? I haven't received one from you. Maybe you should check the email address you have and make sure it is correct.

We will have no problem giving you your money back.

Ron,
I thought I would post here because this is where I've had luck getting a response from you. If you would prefer an email and promise to actually follow through with a solution to the problem Iââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢m having with the conductivity meter, then an email you shall have. If no solution can be found I am willing to accept my money back for the conductivity probe and adapter, I would even consider a full refund for the entire setup at this point. Let me know.

Didn't you? You haven't? The email address I have for you is info@aquariumobsessed.com, is that correct? Is there another I should have? Did you forget about the email we talked about earlier? Is there a reason you can't remember? How would you like to handle the refund? Do you need anything from me? Will I actually get a response if I send an email?

take it to PM so that this thread does not get side-tracked...

Hi Money Pit,

You had e-mailed our general inbox regarding your probe. Will forwarded this inquiry to me and I replied to you. I have not heard anything back from you with regards to the questions I asked or answers Aquatronica needed to try and help you. Did you not receive my reply? We are very interested in solving any issues you may have and feel we have been very fast in replying to any concerns you may have.

Here is the email I sent to you regarding your issue.

Hello Jim,

I need to know a few things to help you out first.

What is the software version of your Controller? You can find this by going to "Setting" scroll down to "About" there should be a HW version and SW version.

Also, if you go into the Conductivity section, and check the SW and HW version for me as well? You can find that Under "About" in the conductivity menu.

What are the readings you are getting?

Do you get different readings when you do something different?

What are the readings you are trying to achieve?

Is the probe placed in an area that freshwater put into?

Thank you,

If in fact you are using a conductivity interface and probe that is for freshwater. If you have a saltwater system it should be a density interface and probe. We will gladly switch the probes without question. If you still want your money back that is fine as well.

I will respond as soon as I can with any and all emails I get concerning Aquatronica. I apologize for any and all frustration.

Thanks
Ron Buckle

Here is the email I sent to you regarding your issue

"Controller
HW: H
SW: 1.25

Conductivity
HW: H1
SW: 2.0
The readings are random and are not triggered by anything I do. The old probe works fine however is rusty, this one is a replacement. I have included a txt file of the salinity readings over the past 24 hours.

Thank you,"

The above email was sent in response to your earlier request for information. It was sent Tue 2/7/2006 6:19 PM, the same day you requested it. You admitted that you received this information and sent it to Italy, so either you are not being honest or you forgot. I will give you the benefit of the doubt. I have two DENSITY probes, one covered in rust and one that gives random readings. If you think that you some how sent me the wrong probe I would be happy to double check it. I too would like to resolve this issue as soon as possible. What more can I do on my end to fix this? I've provided you with all the answers you've asked for and tried the fix you suggested, but still here we sit. Any other ideas?

TheMoneyPit,

You are correct. I do have your reply, to that. I am very sorry about that. I find it very hard to keep track of everyones request on 3 different venues.

This is the email you sent in reply.

I think we need to know if you infact have a conductivity probe. It should be labeled on the probe itself which one it is.

For one, you got the replies for the emails you had sent to us. So your statement saying you get no response from us is unjust. If you would like me to email you everyday saying I have heard nothing from Aquatronica to fix your issue, then you must say so. Otherwise we will contact you when we have an answer. If you want to know the progress of your case please feel free to send an email asking us for an update. We will be glad to answer all your questions to the best of our ability.

I think our next step would be to replace your Interface and probe and start over. This has been a huge mix up on both our sides. I will take full responsibility for this mess and be done with it.

In future please ask for us for an update before you try and smear our name in a public forum. I had to spend the past hour going through all emails sent and saved in my service folder to find messages sent and received.

Ron, I appreciate that you are going to take care of this problem, but I do feel like I should clear the record and point out that you never responded to my 2/7/2006 email. I do not expect to hear from you everyday, and would hope that the Aquatronica would work as advertised so contact with you would be unnecessary, but a simple email letting me know that "you got my response and that it will take 20 days to get back to you". It's so simple that kind of detail to customer service might just work. Blame me for the bad blood but I would not be sitting here typing this message if I had a working probe, one that I bought from you some time ago. Let's fix the problem and move on. Here is what I would like, a density probe that does not rust and gives accurate readings. If you can do that for me I will be a happy camper

I forget where I said that, but if I did say that. Then that would mean I responded in some format.

Regardless of all this, we are shipping one to you. We also would like to have the probe that you got originally, of which we have sent a replacement to you for already, back so we can send it to Aquatronica as proof this is happening so they can resolve the issue. So they can give us what we need to make sure you and others with the same issue can be taken care of faster. Please send us the second probe as soon as you get the the new one please.

I would just like to point out. We have nine issues we are working on right now. Considering the amount of units that have been sold by us or our dealers. Thats not a bad track record. Unfortunately there have been issues, we have been working hard to make everyone happy. It's also unfortunate that there are even issues at all. I have told everyone, of the nine people, we would be glad to replace any and all defective parts that need it.

The current issues of the nine people that have come forward are:

2 PH calibration problems
1 Redox problem
2 Salinity problems
4 Power Units that have problems.

The first 3 issues are being replaced. Unfortunately the Power Unit problems have cause a delay in shipping from Italy. PH interface and probes are on back order due to this, as well as the Power Units.

We have, in stock right now, some Density interface and probes, Redox Interface and probes, PC interfaces, Level Sensors, Probe Holders and Controllers.

As soon as we get these items in I will be shipping them out to replace any issues we have now.
