....also the full web addy for receiving SMS from email directly to a spint sms phone is 0123456789@messaging.sprintpcs.com but this will not fit on the screen of the AC which has a max of 31 char for this field. I hope AQT make it unlimited or at least lke 50 char, sooo I have to have a dedicated email addy on comcast just just so that can auto forward to the addy that wont fit on the screen. that is a pia also but it works. I set the parental setting in comcast to only allow emails from AC addy to go through

Alright now that I know the web stuff is a plug in module I am going to order it. I want to get the Aquatronica Premium package at Aquarium Specialty. I want to be able to shut my return pump off if the water level in my sump is to low or to high. Can you completely submerge one of the water level sensors for the low reading? What modules/interfaces would I need exactly?
My SMS module has simple commands that allow you to fix problems. It also gives you reports and alarms. I am sure that is what AQT will do with their SMS module.Originally posted by RobbyG
The SMS may just use a phone line and nothing else. Most likely you input your ISP phone number and user name/password and the module will dial out and send you the message.
The message length is not all that important since you probably will only be notified with a short message of whats wrong. Example "Temp Level 81 deg - 01/21/06 - 9am".
How important is SMS? Well if your on the road a lot then a LAN connection is not going to help if you get back to your office and find out your water temp was 85 deg for the last 2 hours while with SMS you would be notified no matter where you are.
So for emergency notification SMS does have an advantage since almost everyone has their cell phone on them all day. Of course SMS has no abiliy to fix a problem but at least you know to call home.
Don't get me wrong LAN is a must but SMS is also handy.

Why did they have to make a new one? Is the AC not upgradable through download?

Have you got the pH issue resolved?
