not any time soon i just talked to ron at aquariumsobsessed.... last quarter of the year....

anyone know how to reset the aquartonica.. mine froze while doing the firmware update.. cant get it to turn back on....

What firmware version are you running right now? Just upgraded to v1.25 which fixes a few issues that I've been having.
 
I got the aqua a few months ago.. I just finished setting up my tank and i was installing the aqua.. i downloaded the new firmware hooked up my laptop to the aqua and 1 min later... blank.. wont turn on. i was opening maybe some one here had a similar problem and could help me..
 
Sounds like that old contrast problem? After one of the firmware updates was done it changes the contrast to max or something and then you can't see anything on the screen. Just looks black. You have to connect to the aquatronica with your PC and reduce your contrast. (you must have the aquatronica on the main menu to connect to the PC, which is tricky since you can't see the screen.)

Are you sure you updated to the newest firmware? The contrast problem was fixed in the newer firmware.

Ofcourse.. this might not be the problem at all.
 
i never hooked up the aqua before.. i wanted to get the firmware before i connected it... i connected it and is turned off... said power outage 15 sec.....

I hooked it up again was in the process of uploading the new firmware(about 2 min or so) to the aqua and then bam.. dark.

when i try and connect it now it says that it cant connect.. all cables are connected but it wont connect even tried on my other computer.. still nada... removed aqua from my computer reinstalled and same thing...
 
Press 'ESC' five times and 'Enter' once. Then try and connect again. If it dosen't connect, then it's not the contrast problem. If it does, then it is.

Eeeessh.. Typically when firmware upgrades go bad you get into some serious problems. Very rarley can you fix a partially uploaded firmware. The chip doesn't know what code to run since it doesn't have it all there and it's pretty much dead. You should be able to return it with no problems though.
 
yeah ron at aquariumsob said he would send me another one if we cant get this one up and running.. i am not worried about that.. i just wanted to get this baby running....
 
Let me guess you updated the controller with your firewall on. Same thing happened to me Ron was able to fix mine. He said it happened to another one aswell
 
Yeah, kinda looks like the firmware never uploaded fully. Did you have a power interuption or connection failure in the middle of the update? I'm thinking you might have to send the unit back to get flashed and updated manually.
 
ron told me the problem might have been that i didn't turn off my firewall before i updated the aqua....i am not a big computer guy....

no power interruption that i know of tank is running on 2 dedicated 20 amp circuits.

if the tank loses
power the house should go out too.....
