I dont know if this helps, I dont have multiple bars but what I did do is label everything properly, that way if I get into this kind of situation I will just unplug every device and reset the controller to factory setting then replug everything and load back my saved profile.
With USB devices they dont like when you unplug them and replug them back into a different ports. It was the dream that USB devices could be plugged and moved with no problems, but even microsoft has yet to make an OS that handles this problem perfectly. So I suggest that you always make sure anything you unplug always goes back in the same port, even a quick 1 second wrong port pluggin can send USB stuff out of wack
