I dont know if this helps, I dont have multiple bars but what I did do is label everything properly, that way if I get into this kind of situation I will just unplug every device and reset the controller to factory setting then replug everything and load back my saved profile.

With USB devices they dont like when you unplug them and replug them back into a different ports. It was the dream that USB devices could be plugged and moved with no problems, but even microsoft has yet to make an OS that handles this problem perfectly. So I suggest that you always make sure anything you unplug always goes back in the same port, even a quick 1 second wrong port pluggin can send USB stuff out of wack

Anyone ever have any issues with multiple powerbars? Yesterday, I moved one of my powerbars, so I disconnected it. Upon reconnecting, the system didn't recognize the powerbar again, and actually disconnected the other one (the one the controller was plugged into)......

Robby,

You need a MAC !! Apple's O/S can handle it.

Sorry for taking the thread (temporarily) off track; couldn't help it.

Been experimenting with this Ph probe issue and here is what I have found so far.

I calibrate it for 30 Minutes (Yes 30) in Ph 10 solution then washed it off with DI fresh water and then did the second part with Ph 7 for another 30 minutes. I then repeat the whole thing again.

The whole process takes 2 hours but I ended up with a reading of 7.94 on my tank. I am going to get some fresh seawater on the way home and take a reading to see if it is truly correct but I have a gut feeling that it is now reading accurately.

BTW I found that using the standard 5 minute soak did not work, even after 20 minutes the probe would make a sudden .2 drop, it was only after 30 minutes that it was totally stable.

The second calibration showed the 10.0 Ph as 9.93 and the 7.0 as 6.95 after doing the second calibration I rinsed the probe and dried it then checked again in 7.0 solution and finally got a stable 7.0 reading.

No your right, I have heard that Macs do USB plug and play properly. Although in all fairness they don't have to worry about out of spec accessories like in the PC world.

BTW GLD, It's Intel for you mac boys from now on. Welcome to Blue screens and Processor lockups.

Sorry guys for being off topic..

I got my AQT today and I have a question. the suction cup that came with the temp probe was not attached. How does it attach to the temp probe?

Thats why in the pc world it was coined Plug and Pray.

I think you just push it through the hole to the midway point.
I used my Suck cup to hold my level sensor rod inside the return area insteadm so I am not really sure. I just let my temp hang down from a probe holder slot.

whoops there is a little plastic piece that was in the bag i didn't see.
This controller is AWESOME! Kinda gotta know the software world to make it work with the PC though. It has its bugs with certain things so I have seen. I had to manually set it to Com 1 instead of auto for it to see it for some reason. Just things like that can drive a non techie person nuts. That and renaming the devices you have to hit Enter or else they don't stick. I have found these in 10 minutes so I am hopefully there won't be to many more.

don't get me wrong they are something a simple software update will fix. My initial thoughts are so far really impressed. Just trying to figure out how to get this water level attached. Not exactly sure how this holder thing is going to work for me.

Well, this is the first controller that I see that needs 2 hours to be calibrated. Do you think this is a software problem or a hardware flaw?

Could be any one of them, they may have a poor calibration software routine or it could be the probes! All I know is that after I did it this way my problem disapeared and my readings now jive with my other test kits.

yeah tell me about it. i've already calibrated this thing numerous times. i'll calibrate one more time using your suggestion. if doesn't fix the problem I might make a trip to Canada and bring the Aquatronica to shove it up their own asses.

Got an Email From Aquatronica:

This is in regards to my Emailing to them about the software bug that causes the Graph time error. I told them how to reproduce the error and they replied:

_____
Hello Mr. xxxx,
sorry for the delay, yes there is news we have verified that our software does the same thing, it should be fixed in the next software update.
