Alright.

Mine is the same.

SW Version: 4.0
HW Version: H2

Is there anyone out there with the same pH Interface version that has it working and calibrating properly?

well i have the same problem and i just posted on the aquarium obsessed forum that we have this problem and we are doing the QA. why are we doing this? shouldn't they send us equipment they know works now. this is not right IMO. If they have seen it before okay I'll work to fix it but it seems they don't know what is wrong so send me new stuff and take my old and test it there.

My pH interface works and calibrates correctly, I'll find out the version later tonight. I have not done a controller update for a while.

In my case, my ORP is the one that is off. I bought 2 ORP calibration fluids and will try to calibrate later this week.

i feal the same way. i will troubleshoot to see if there issomthing to be done but it clearly doesn't work so it should be replaced.

I have got to agree with you guys, it's been 3 straight pages of this thread consumed by problems from the same 3 people. This is definetly not the way to get an increased user base.

Tha sad part is that 3 out of over 100+ users are having problems and that's all you see. These last few pages have got to make potential purchasers wonder.

I was "on the fence" about buying an Aquatronica...but these "bugs" are unacceptable to me. I, and I am sure other hobbyists, are not willing to jeopardize the welfare of their reefs until these issues are resolved.

Although I have just received my new controller from "the other guys", I know an Aquatronica is in my future. Just not right now. I'll give it another year, as I believe this product has the greatest potential among products available today.

don't. i really like the AQT. I have tried "others" and they are not even close IMO to this product. This thing is really cool. Things will have problems and so far this is the only thing I found that is not right but it is a simple swap with a good part that should do it. I would not return this thing at all. By far the best controller I have seen

izzypop,

I understand that every product is going to have their problems, but I don't understand why it's taking so long to get these problems resolved.

The few people that are having problems are a lot more patient than I.

I keep asking for a new part but have heard nothing so far. In the other forum I say lets get this resolved figure out what it is and replace it. Everythong else so far works but the PH. I want the ORP and salinity but will definaltly not buy untill my currant problem is resolved.

It is hard to try and figure out what the problem is sometimes when there is hardware, software and peoples computers in the mix and AQT shouldn't get a bad wrap. There is a time though when equipment is not working and you have tried everything you can or know how and it still doesn't work. You return it and get a new one. That is what I wanted and everyone that I have delt with so far has been more than willing to do that. I would be more than happy to compare this product to others in quality and craftsmanship because this thing is really nice. I am pretty sure there are very few people out of the mix that actually have the problem I have. I got caught up in trying all these do this do thats.

good customer service, good product, enhancements coming. I would rather buy into the future then into the past but that is just me.

I understand that but I have done everything possible even to isolating only the ph interface reseting the whole controller and trying to calibrate the ph and it wouldn't work. even trying to update the controller again. I also tried multiple different ports and still the problem persists. So far I have had no offer to have the interface replaced. I have repeatly asked to see what we need to resolve it. Have you seen this latest post?

I feel his frustration and know the feeling I work at a help desk. But when a Dell laptop is DOA Dell sends a new one and I send the DOA back. Don't get me wrong I love the controller I just need to get over this hump. My consulting rate is $120 an hour it is starting to not be worth my time.

Ok it looks like they are replacing it. I didn't notice Ron left me a PM on the other board. At 6:30 PM I will let you know if it solves the problem. I will then get the ORP and Salinity interfaces.

When I was having problems with my controller, Will at AO was more than helpful, and got me a replacement unit with no problems. They will walk you through some steps to test things out and they sometimes they also need to get confirmation from AQT in Italy. Sometimes this can take time, but if they don't do it they end up replacing more parts than really needed, and usually that makes the product cost more to offset the loss IMO.
But glad to hear you are getting your issues resolved.

Anyways, I verified my pH interface version SW 0.0 / HW H0.
My controller version SW 1.23 HW H.
I have not done an update since the one with real-time monitoring. I'd just rather limit the firmware upgrades when there is some major change in the code.

Hi everyone,

I have had an aquatronica premium package up and running since christmas and everything works beautifully. Aquarium Obsessed has been a dream to work with. They even sent me some new components without hesitation when the post office lost a package.

IMHO
This product was and is ready for the market and will only get better and better as they continue to develop and add to it.

This is not to demean the few people that are having problems. But i think with any electronic product in any market there will always be some buyers who experience problems. My experience with AO is that they work hard at resolving issues and I sincerely hope that these relatively few problems will be resolved.

By the way, I am in no way affiliated with AO or any company.

I for got to mention I also have the PC interface and Salinity interface and probe in addition to the premium package and its all good!

AO is great, no bones about that but there is always a reluctance by any seller to replace equipment when you suspect the problem may not be with your equipment!

In this case I also have a nagging feeling that bad cables, PC's or grounding issue's may be the problem, but at some point one has to except that the consumer has tried everything in his power to resolve the issue and just exchange the unit to keep good customer relations. It's very frustrating when your trying to solve a problem and a little voice keeps telling you, "Your wasting your time the problem is in the Controller it's a dud"
I know how that feels, it sucks the enthusiasm right out of you.

Well, I am pretty sure my problem is me. Still trying to get the lights to work. Someone asked if it was a clock above my "c" it really looks like a lock to me. All the plugs have a lock above the letter on the main screen. So, this sounds like hmmm maybe they are locked. What can I do about this. I have read the manual. Can someone tell me what they did to program there lights or show me a picture. I am trying to get a picture of my screen. Thanks all.

I fully agree. I would definatly buy this controller again dispite my minor setback. I am going to buy lots more stuff from Will and Ron. I think one thing that may be helpfull is if we all colaberate on a good set of instructions and troubleshooting techniques. Because IMO the instructions are lacking. If people post some intructions and screen shots and what not I can compile it into a web page for everyone.
