Arabian Pseudochromis- Any experiences with this fish??

Hello,

We saw a cool fish yesterday but weren't sure about the care/ etc. for it. The name is Arabian pseudochromis, I'd do a search but that's not working right now- any experiences with this fish are much appreciated =)

They are extremely aggressive from past experience. The one I had chased the other fish around relentlessly and ate all the food. It was fast. That thing must have grown 1/2" in the few months that I had him/her b/c it would get to most of the food before anyone else did. Other than that, it's a beautiful fish, the reason I bought it in the first place. I actually got mine at a Petco of all places and it was healthy. Much cheaper than any I have seen at any LFS.

From my book.
Name: Pseudochromis Aldabraensis
Common Name : Arabian Pseudochromis, Orange Dottyback

Max size: 3 inches
Minimum tank size: 20 gals
Diet: Omnivore and likes to eat variety of meaty foods, mysis shrimp, and prepared foods.
Level of Care: Low maintenance fish
Behavior: Mild - Aggressive. This arabian pseudochromis may act aggressively towards other fish.
Hardiness: very hardy
water conditions: SG 1.020-1.025, pH 8.1-8.4, 72-78F
Range: Persion Gulf
General Information: The Arabian Pseudochromis is an attractive species that always makes for a nice addition to either a fish only tank or a reef type set up. Will hide in cliffs and overhangs of the rock structure, upside down. This species also helps in the control of predatory bristle worms.

mine's a chicken crap.......then again it was the last fish that I added to my tank....all he/she does is hides inside the GSP patch..

Haha.....that's too funny. Mine was the last fish added at the time too but it didn't matter. I also had a tomato clown at the time and we all know that they can be mean bastards but it was no match for the Arabian Pseudo. That thing was such a pig that I caught it on the first try the minute I put a glass jar in the tank with some food in it

hahahahaha That's what I was telling Jen- she really liked it but I don't buy fish without doing some research. Thanks for sharing the stories, if anyone else has something to add I'd love to hear it :D

I got one that was added last as well...it was first scared of everything. After it got settled in it basically kicked the firefish and 4 line wrass butt.

I have had mine for about two months. Out of all my fish I think that he has the most character. He'll come right up to the glass and stare at me. And I have never seen him display any aggression.

Mine was a mean little bastard when I put it in my main 180. It pestered the heck out of my purple pseudochromis and also my six line wrasse. I was able to get it out and put it in my sump.
