Are blackcap basslets sensitive shippers?

I have tried with a couple of online vendors and only one wasn't doa, and that one died during his first night in qt.

Is this normal? From reading up on them they are easy hardy fish with attitudes.

I havent seen any issues wth blackcaps from shipping. IME they have proven to live up to the described reputation.

That's what I was thinking, but it doesn't seem to be the case with me.

I prefer to get one from the lfs but the ones I have tried said they have a hard time getting them.

They are not as readily available as royal grammas, but should be available every few months from just about any LFS.

I agree. Online vendors seem to have them in stock often enough. I have been waiting for one lfs for a few months.
