Are Bristle Worms Bad?

Well the title says it. I have been reading up on them and it seems that they were considered bad, but now many are thinking they are good in a reef tank. I'm not sure the only thing I'm sure of is that when the light go out on my tank there are many of them in the LR that I purchased. If they are bad what is the best way to get rid of them? I have purchased one of those little traps and have gotten a couple already. Any insight would be helpful. Thanks for your time and advice. Time to go hunting.

Bristle worms are great for the substrate of the tank. The keep it loose and stop it from clumping. They are also great assets tpo your clean up crew:

Thanks for the help. Coralife Trap' Em is the trap that i have. Marine Depot carries them.

I have lots of them in my tank, some that are 7-8 inches in length. In the 2+ years that I have had my system running I have not seen them disturb any of my corals. In my tank/experience they have been beneficial detrivores. However, I have read that some species can feed on corals, but they tend to rarely find their way in to captive tanks.
