Are mexican turbo snails supposed to live longer than a few months

I can't get much more than that out of them. My nassarius are happy, I have stomatella and colinista snails breeding. Plenty of hair algae believe me. Am I missing something or are they just that way?

mine lived for 8 months then i sold them. im sure theyre still kickin' but just for someone else now instead

I have 3 that are as old as my tank is which will be 3 years in 2 days. They're enormous.

If they die after a relatively long time in the tank (One or two months) the most usual is starving to death. They are great eaters of algae although they do not eat all types, I will suggest you adding nori sea weed on a clip in an area they can reach eaily or wrap some with a rubberband to a small rock.

Well, I will try just adding one to the tank and make sure there is plenty to eat. Thanks.
