Are the nano streams redesigned?

I just ran down to Aquarium Arts to pick up a 6025. Then someone told me they were redesigned - is that true? If so, what was the redesign and how would I know if I have a current one?

Hi Fliger,

No major changes as far as I am aware but Tunze are always improving design so it may be a general improvement you have heard about. If something major has changed Roger may be aware of it as he is in contact with Axel Tunze more often then me. I know we have a lot of exciting stuff coming in the future but a lot of this is in development.

We have changed many things, the hole for the shaft is a tighter fit so it doesn't come out. A stainless steel washer was added to prevent wear due to sand and calcium on the base of the drive unit. The shaft is now German made stainless steel. Basically it is a lot of small details.

Thanks Roger. Is there any way to know if I have the newer model? I just bought it a couple days ago, but I don't know how long its been there. Its a 6025.000_A. I plugged it in for a few minutes and it worked fine - but I would like to be able to turn it off every couple days when I feed my LPS.

If the cord is round rather than flat, it should be the most current version.
