Are Valentini puffers known for going after sea urchins?

Hello guys

I am planning in getting a valentini puffer. I know puffers in general like to snack on urchins but I've read mixed opinions on the Valentini.
I have a tuxedo I love and would hate to serve him up.
What is your personal experience?

I have two valentini puffers in the same tank and let me tell you, they are really something to watch. Great personalities. I have no experience with urchins. That being said, everything that isn't swimming that I put in the tank, they will sample. This is why my upstairs tank is a fowlr. It's worth it to me to have the puffers. Hope I helped. BTW keep in mind the valentinis have smaller mouths than other puffers so it might not be an issue.

What about shrimps? I have a pepermint and planning in having a pistol with a couple of gobbies. Have yours gone after any shrimp?

shrimps is a def yes and I have seen toby's go after sea urchins.

Yes I added a peppermint I believe it was, to see what would happen, and I never found the body. They ate the whole thing.. :-/

As for urchins I had a not really fish only FOWLR and the valentini never bothered my short spine or pincushion urchin, but I did find it dead one day halfway in a mini carpet nem. There is also a bennets sharpnose puffer in the same tank who is fine w/ urchins, and nems so far.

Well, thats unfortunate. I saw the puffer in my LFS and it is really hard to resist.
I wish I cared less for my pepermint "flaco"

If you have a sump flaco could always live there?
