Coming back after 15 years...

Yeah, looks awesome. Take care and get that knee iced/rested.

If you need dry rock, let me know. I’ve got a bit extra and we’re local to each other.

Still working on the scaping. Not done yet but I'll take some constructive criticism on what I have done so far. That piece in the center is coming down lower a bit tomorrow morning.

Looks good to me. I’m a terrible aquascaper, don’t have an artistic bone in my body.

Me either! 😂😂 I spent 6 hrs rearranging rocks yesterday, I think it still looks horrible. But screw it, im going with it. I keep telling myself that once the corals are in place & start growing, it won't matter.

I want to run something by you guys. I bought those flat bottom Marco rocks and basically put them all straight down the middle & sprinkled sand in between them. Most of the sand is just around the perimeter of the tank. Basically the entire bottom under the rockscape is flat rock.

Good idea or bad idea? Probably should have asked this question BEFORE I did it! 😂 I'll get some better pics posted shortly with white light.

Sounds like a good place to mount a bunch of Gorgonians😉

Here are some better pics. I'm going to get in there & rearrange some stuff & I'll post some after photos.

So having flat rock in the middle to me is no different than someone putting it on egg crate or similar (most do that to keep the rock off the glass and prevent pressure points.

An issue you may run into is sand sifters/gobies wanting to bury under the rocks for caves and not being able to.

Looks like a couple of the before pics got in there. Here are a few more afters.

Understood. The flat Marco rocks are spread apart by several inches of sand in between each one. If I had to guess, I'd say 60% or so of the bottom of the tank under the scape is flat rock, the rest sand, then a good 4-5 inches on either side & the end is all sand. I do like how the flat rocks give a small space between them & the rockscape, should be good for flow rather than just setting them directly on the sand bed.

OK, got 2 more rocks out of the sump. Now my damsel has nowhere to hide!

I think this is the final design. I need to put a dab of epoxy in 3 spots. Just give me ya'lls blessings so I can move on! 😂🤣😂

Actually I'm just kidding, please critique. If you see something that looks completely unnatural, please let me know.

Looks good to me. The tall middle piece would have blocked some flow for sure. Your last change looks good!

Ammonia = 0
Nitrate = 1.2
PH = 8.0 (maybe time for some two part?)
Phosphate = 0
Salinity = .023 (tad high I think, I'm using a swing arm hydrometer, should I get a refractormeter?)
Temp = 79.5

Any input from you guys on these numbers is much appreciated!

I posted a video on FB. Let me know if you guys can see it. I may be set to private, I don't use social media much.
