Are zoos as picky with alk swings as sps?

Lately, my once thriving zoos are starting to melt away. I notice full plugs losing polyps. My kalk for topoff has not been able to keep up and I have been manually dosing, but I find that each night I test, my alk swings a bit. I ordered dosing pumps and will be setting up soon. I just hope this helps. My sps are showing signs of stress. The zoos were fine for quite some time; they too, now, are deteriorating.

not even close......polyps are much more fun...they just will die on you when they feel like it sometimes and you wont ever be able to figure out why

It could surely be related in your case, but they are not nearly as picky about parameter swings as sps. They do seem to have a harder time with low alk vs high though ime

In my case, I see them look like ISH', die with issues with Alk, pH, Salinity, these bastards seem to be harder to keep happy than SPS.
