As The Addiction Grows

Just picked up my 300 gallon colony tank. Its about 3 foot by 8 foot by 24 inches tall. I hope to have it running by Feb. I was just thinking wholy crap even with all my stuff in it there will be a lot of empty space. Time to reach deep and start forking out dinero. This tank should put my total system to about 400-500 gallons.

You should be ready for that extra large calcium reactor I have.....hmmm I smell a trade coming on, still got that super sump? or maybe the frag tank I was talking about....
talk to you soon

well i will have a frag tank that will probably be extremely shallow so I can run t-5 and still get good growth and color. the colony tank is going to be where I keep the mother colonies from which the frags come from. So it has to be a little taller to allow the corals to get to a good size.

It will have all of DTI's products on it to show and tell. I got the tank from Victor. It does need a little work on the seams but other wise the doctor is in and Frankenstein needs a face lift.

Is that the tank from WWC?

Are you going to just set it up, or are you going to make it nice and shiny for a display?

Did it come with a stand, or will we be building one soon?

I was even tossing up the idea of having a section of it as a club banking system ( after quarantining of course) for those that have some hard to come by corals that would like to keep a piece here for safe keeping. There would be some things to work out on how this banking idea would work but I think it is a start to mention it. Because for some corals that are hard to come by, once they are gone they are gone.

actually the smaller one is about the size you want. I would say about 18-24 inches wide x 6 foot long by 12" tall,

just jump on the WWC forums and ask them....I'm sure he'd get back to you real quick like....or just call the store during normal hours.

These are the tanks that they were using for their farm...since they've been upgrading, they have some used setups for sale.

I saw a 125G, a 90G and a 92G corner for sale there also.....close to complete systems.

Next addition, almost have enough to buy my ph controller and co2 reg with bubble counter for this set up. $180 shipped brand new. I will set up one of the calcium reactors I built on it. Oh also on my smaller tanks I just purchased the nano koralias they should be here in 6 days.

The nano koralias are ok best suit for 20 gallons and under I think. Just purchased another 400 watt metal halide and a 1/4 chiller to go on the system. So getting there quick. I think I have been liking the dart so much I may be looking for one soon.
