ASM mini-G

Just wondering, but is there a reason why you guys don't carry this product? I've got gift certificates for Christmas, and was planning to get this product from you guys.. but was bummed out to see you didn't carry them on you online catalog. :/

Hi,

We use to carry the Mini, but I would say probably 90% of the ones we sold customers complained about. The larger ASM's all use the Sedra pump, but the Mini uses either a little GENX or generic type pump and just doens't work very well.

So basically we just felt there was too many issues with the skimmer to get that many complaints and dropped that model from our line up.

Yes I've read up on them... Seems like the Sedra pump is the way to go with these... thanks for the reply. I'll have to find it elsewhere then with a Sedra pump.

Hi,

Yes, the sedra would be much better, but they don't start using Sedra until you get in the ASM G1. The mini is just too small to handle the flow on the Sedra. I'm not sure really what other pump they could use on a skimmer that size. It seems like a nice shape and designed skimmer, just needs a better pump.
