Just set up my new G-3 (stock) and am getting some bubble leakage around the gasket where the air/water enter the tube from the pump. Is there a good way to seal the gasket? Does anyone glue theirs?

This might be a double post...if so sorry:
I've had my G3 up for about 2 months now with great results..
But over the past 2 weeks it has been going crazy -I did not add any additives or do anything differently.
It will just start overflowing like mad for no reason. Then I can set the top of the foam very low and it will not skim anything for awhile and all of a sudden go crazy and overflow like mad...I cannot just set it and leave it anymore.
Has this happened to anyone else? I am going to take it apart and clean it, especially the pump, but its only 2 months old, so I am not hopeful that that is the problem...any other ideas?
Thanks

BTW I feel the skimmer pump should be cleaned bi weekly along with the venturi opening.

clkwrk - I saw in the show me your skimmer thread you opened up the venturi intake a little, was there a big difference in performance? Did you just widen the hole a little? That was some nasty skimmate![]()

Well I did clean it out and I think it was that the venturi tube was getting clogged. It seems to be working back to normal.
Anyone have any tips on keeping it clean? Or do you just pull it out and clean it every few weeks...and if so, do you just clean the tube or the tube and the plastic part that connects it to the pump or both of those and the pump, too?
Thanks
