ASM skimmer FS

I'm finally pulling the trigger on a new custom built skimmer, so I need to sell off one of the 2 I've been using. I might sell the second one after the new skimmer gets here. The first one I'm selling is an ASM G2 that has been modified with a larger Sedra 5000 as a recirculation pump and has the gate valve mod as well. I have it posted on the selling forum @

Neither. I'm having AquaC build me a custom EV similar to the one recently built for gcarroll. Once that is up and running I'll sell my backup skimmer which is a deltec copy. I'll be sure to post all the details of the new skimmer once I get it. I'm very excited about this new skimmer, which will be based on a EV240 but with a new style tower inspired by Greg's skimmer.
Now if I can just find a good home for my old skimmer without shipping it overseas :rolleye1:

I'm debating on which pump to use. Since the skimmer will be 3" shorter with the conical riser the pump I use may vary. Jason recommended a Mag 12 or 18. I have a HF pump that has a slightly higher output than the Mag 18 (1350 @ 4 feet). I'll start with this pump and experiment from there. BTW, I went with the standard 240 box and tower, and jason is shortening the tower and cup to keep my overall height below 24".

I'll post a new thread about that skimmer when it gets here.

That should work great. They may tell you to throttle back the pump but you may get better results from cutting back on the air inistead. That is what I did with the EV400.
