assistance moving to MH

I have a 120 mixed reef running with T5. The system has become increasingly SPS heavy. I'm still sold that you can do T5 with MH, but to get SPS lower in the tank I would need $$$ fixture.

so I'm looking at going to MH and moving the T5 onto my 72 LPS reef build.

What are the recommendations for MH lighting? I am leaning towards a 14K look and would like to run powerbrites or something similar for pop.

I don't mind building, just not sure what reflectors & size, dual 175 or dual 250, bulbs, ballast, and LED strip to get. If I DIY I would be looking to have the lights suspended from the ceiling. I'll weld & powder coat something up something to hold LED strips.

I'm hearing lumenarc makes good reflectors and icecap allasts...thoughts?

I like my lumenbright reflector; I wouldn't set up a system without using the higher end style reflectors.

If you want growth up the wahzoo, I had amazing growth with Ushio 10K's but it did have a bit of a yellow hue as far as MH's go. Hamilton's 14Ks have great color IMO and very good growth, but poor longevity. I've heard great things about Phoenix 14K's for color and growth.

thanks for the tips. I'm going to go 14K for now, i like the color of Jays tank. I do need to find something to supplement, possibly powerbrites.
