astrea snail breeding

Ok I know a snail is not a fish but i am posting this here


I have noticed in my nano tank that the pass few day my astrea snails have been keeping in close proximity to one another. And to day i was looking a the coralline on one snails shell and a plume of green stuff can shooting out from under the shell, it did this 3 time. Is this signs of breeding? The snail was not excreting the stuff while close to another snail so i dont know, the other snails where about 2 to 4 inch away from this one.

I did do a 20% water change yesterday and have heard that a water change can trigger snails to breed. but if this stuff is not sperm or eggs what the hell is it?

Green stuff is most likely feces.

I have seen my snails poop before but this was different. The snail kinda lifted up its shell or stretched up word and released this cloud of what ever it was it very quickly rose to the surface and was washed away by the current. But may be it had diarrhea?
