OK I will need to stare at the two bulbs longer and try to see these differencesLOL
i have B+ next to Gies Actinic Blue and B+ looks brighter . Gies claims that they use more actinic . Go figure![]()
That stinks. Mine came in with a forklift hole through the shield. The rest was fine. ATI was great. BRL was going to make me ship the shield back. I called up ATI and they said that wasn't nessasary and sent me out a new one.
Good to hear. I plan on calling as soon as they open up on the west coast. Would be great if they told me to keep this one and sent me a new one. That stinks. Looks like they got too hot. Are your fans working? I bet ATI would provide replacements, I know the entire LED bar is swappable.
Just sent them a email, will see what happens
Fans are working, and light is free hanging so not in hood etc. Cant believe how hot they must have got!
Will let you know how i go
Cheers
I've been going through Big E's Thread. He has only 4 T5s and incredible colors BUT his lights are on only 9 hours or so a day. I noticed in my tank that my corals didn't like 14 hours of light even though the LEDs were only set to 40% power. So, makes me think that too much duration is bad and that is probably more important than intensity once you have the basic intensity covered and obviously all you need for that is 4 T5 bulbs. In your case I don't think the 2 spikes is a problem so long as the total time the lights are on is less than 10 hours since you are high pretty much all the time if you spike LED first then T5 second and spike LED third.
i dont think they will include bulbs, since coloration is so personal.
i know the 80W model is not, which is what i got.
