ATO Sugestion

Really Cool Stuff!
I currently have an Tsnami ATO that is not doing the job as I wish it was... my tank is 215g, sump is a 75g tank, the problem I have is that it takes too long for it to kick in, the sump needs to drop about 1 full inch before the ATO starts to replenish water, my make up water is run thru a kalk reactor, I dont want to wait for a full inch to drop before I dump the make up water in... usually about 3 gallons from the time it begins until the water is leveled off again...

suggestions on ATO that does not have to drop so much before it begins replenishing sump, no DIY please!

what about the jbj ato, i just got one and hopefully will get it up and running this weekend. i dont have any experince with it yet but maybe someone who uses one can chime in and enlighten us?

Reef Fanatic dual level controller. One of the nice things about it is how sensitive it is. You cant even see a level change. I doubt it is even 1/8"

+1 for the reeffanatic for me. it's been flawless for about 9 months now. Like scott said, you can't even tell the difference in the water height in the sump. Plus you can set it up with a back up float switch. If the first float fails for some reason and it get's to the backup float, it'll shut the pump off.

that is a tie so far... need more input, looked at both, both seem reliable, which in your experience is the most sensitive to level change and do they have some wiggle room for the mini waves in the sump?

i love my tunze osmolator.they are more expensive, but come with a pump.i can take a cup of water out of my 92 gallon tank and it comes on and puts it back.

Go to Auto Top Off's website and order one of their 2 switch systems. The system is simple and works flawlessly. The level switch has a slosh guard and is sensitive. My sump level does not even fluctuate 1/8th inch. Best $50 I've spent on my tank.

autotopoff.com is the way to go. I also have the two switch ato and works great, I top off with kalk from an aqua lifter and I couldn't be happier

autotopoff.com is what I use. Dual switch setup with low voltage option. He uses high quality components. I have taken it apart, great workmanship. No reason to spend more on something that is mass produced in china.

Have yet to have a failure on any of the 6 tanks I am running them on. I use the one on my display with a kalk reactor.

I also use the single float from him in a tank with a HOB overflow. If the level gets too high, it cuts off the return pump. Insurance vs a flood. Also use the single floats for skimmer collection buckets.. cuts off the skimmer when the container fills to the top.
