My last perc hatch happened over 2 nights and only a few dozen made it, some much smaller than others.
Good luck.

Went downstairs this morning and turned the light on and did not see any dead. :D Many were hanging around the bottom. I fed more rotifers this morning. I'm still not holding out much hope most were still very skinny. They had silver bellies but they were not full by any means. My rots had no time to reporduce so I am on a limited supply. I'm going to start the BBS tonight and start feeding them tomorrow if I don't see any real progression with the rots.

There were a couple of deaths when I got home and some iminent. I fed more rotifers and some appeared to eat vigoursly. We shall see.

Anyway my main female is HUGE this next one will probably be a bigger one. Kind of a blessing this last one was small since I had no where near enough rotifers.

Its hard when you run out of rots. Trying to decide do I let this batch starve to get the Rots back for the next batch. I hope your next one is better. Its strange some just are not good. I notice that with mine. One will be great and the next may be really small / immobile.

To my surprise I came home and a lot are still alive. I siphoned some rots and to my surprise the rots had multiplied. So it appears my rots are doing well enough, my larvae are eating but they are not as full as they should be. They are still very small. I put the BBS on tonight, they may get some tomorrow after work if all goes well. I just put another bunch of rots and phyto in the larvae tank and then turned the lights off. Hopefully the rots can gain some numbers over night and then I can feed more rots in the morning.

I have been losing a couple every day but many are still eating and doing well. The water was much lighter this morning than when I went to bed last night. I added more rots this morning and they were eating them all up.

A new batch of eggs were laid down tonight. Much larger than the last. I would say 600-700 eggs. Should hatch next Thursday.

Babies got some BBS this morning (day 5). They have also been given a pinch of Otohime A every morning. Not sure how many are left my best guess is 40-50.

The fish were very full when I turned on the lights. I did not see any deaths.

The plumbing is now complete but now I'm not so sure on the pump it may not be enough after all.

A couple of updates.

The babys are doing great most are in Met. They are pretty much of rots now and on bbs and oto A although I have not seen them eat any of it.

I have a couple of fish with a bacterial infection again. I was at the store and bought API T.C. Tetracycline. After dosing the 4 days I did not notice any change. I looked at the box again and it says on it "Use in Freshwater Aquariusm". Not sure if this was the problem. I am going to have to go out and buy some Furan-2 again.

I picked up two new pairs of fish this weekend :D I think I have pushed my wife to the brink of divorce. Any the first pair...well not really a pair was two black and white Occ. I purchase a big on and a small one seperately and put them both in the same tank and they paired up almost instantly.

The other two I purchased as a pair. They are Picasso clowns, however they are only standard and not premium. Their bars are not connected but have a very nice jigsaw puzzle piece middle and last bar. I figured I would try them out and see what I could get them to do if anything.

So here is what I have.

Display tank I have OCP1 (Occelaris Pair 1). These were my first pair and are the ones currently laying eggs.

In tank 3 I have OCP2. These apparently spawned twice in the previous owners tanks although there was no proof. They have not laid for me yet.

In tank 4 I have OCP3. These two are a male and a female from two previous pairs where the pair died. So they have never spawned together but both were in a proven pair previously.

In tank 5 I have OCP3. These two are proven spawning pair, have not yet laid a nest for me.

In tank 6 I have GSMP1. These two have never been observed with a nest.

In tank 10 I have B&WP1. These two are younger and are the ones I just puchased. They obviously have never spawned with each other before.

In tank 11 I have PICP1. These two have not been observed with eggs yet.

Hopefully I can get these fish breeding soon :D

I think I am done buying pairs now. :D

Now you are collecting clownfish it looks like lol. Good luck with your new pairs. Crank the heat up on those B&W's.

On page 29 there are a bunch of pictures. I currently have 16 tanks setup...well actually 12 but four have a divider in them.

Thanks. I subscribed to the thread on page 30 and only read the first dozen pages and didn't see any of your setup pictures!

I just finished reading the rest of the thread so I am caught up now. (I also noticed the referee jersey that dazed mentioned in one of your photos)

I look forward to seeing how you system evolves now that you've got so much happening.

I was not really expecting to have this many pairs and I'm not sure I really want to keep the growout and broodstock on the same system. My current pump will probably not be able to handle all the tanks that I currently have after all. The way I have the system setup it will be pretty easily modified. I think my plan will now be to seperate the 10 gallons from the 40 gallons. Use the 10's for broodstock and the 40's for growout. This of course will require another pump and sump.

Humidity

OK folks the humidity bug has reared its ugly head. My windows are covered in water. My cold cellar roof is dripping on everthing in it.

I guess it's time for a de-humidifier. I didn't have problems in the summer as my AC took care of most of the humidity.

Hey FB,

Just checked out your plumbing, and it seems your using ABS? if so isnt that going to leech chemicals into your water?
