GSM batch IV is still looking very good they have large round silver bellies. I've started BBS. I may not feed it to them tomorrow. Just kind of getting myself in the routine again. It's been a while since I have need them.

GSM batch V was layed down sometime today. Will probably be another partial hatch between the 22nd and 24th. Another medium sized nest probably 400-500 eggs. However only about 50-100 seem to make it to day 6 or 7.

Batch IV is all gone. I am blaming it on water quality. When I turned the lights on this morning the water was a milky white/green. Looks like a bacteria bloom. Probably took most of the oxygen out of the water. They were looking so promising.

I certainly have not had any good luck lately.

I got home tonight and one of my rotifer cultures had turned to milk as well.

I started two new 5 gallon bucket rotifer cultures tonight. We shall see how long they take to become productive. I have a new philosiphy when it comes to phyto.....less is more. I going to try putting only the slightest tint of green into the water and see if these rot cutlures can do better for me. I have one that seems to be doing alright.

The water in the larvae tank was 3 days old. I did an ammonia check last night and it was between .25 and .50. I added some ammonia lock and was going to do a 50% water change this morning. Guess I should have done it last night but I didn't want to shock them with an increase in PH with toxic ammonia in the tank.

3 days before the fish hatched or total? I am pulling my tile a day early because they were eating some of the eggs on the hatch day. I am getting a small bacterial bloom by the second day. It doesn't seem to be bothering anything but its disconcerting. I certainly don't change the water after 3 days either.

No 3 days in total. I did have my bubble rate pretty low. I will increase it a little more for the next batch.

OCP1 batch VII had a 100% hatch in the display tank on the 21st as expected. I have not rots and was very busy on Saturday so I left them to hatch in the display tank.

OCP3 batch III disappeared before they were due to hatch.

GSM V was transferred last night and had a very small hatch this morning. Still probably 100 eggs left on the clay pot. I added what little rots I had in my small container and a little green water this morning.

Last week all my rot cutlures turned a milky colour. I drained one of the cultures completly, splitting the remaining rots between 2 new 5 gallon bucket cultures. The very light green tint is taking almost 2 days to clear. My other culture has also seemed to crash. Not sure what is causing my cultures to turn milky. So now I have 3 5 gallon cultures and a small 2L culture.

I have also started a brine shrimp tank. I'm hoping that some adult brine my induce spawning in some of the more resistant pairs. We shall see.

I am way over due for a water change on both my Display tank and breeding system. I'm hoping I can get that done one night this week.

OCP1 laid down batch VIII last night. Not a very good nest the eggs are not as orange as normal. I have been so busy with life that I have not had a chance to make up a new batch of food. So the this pair has gone a couple of days without a "FULL meal"

There are no other eggs at this time.

I performed a 15 gallon water change last night. Both my B&W and Picasso pairs started going nuts. Swimming iratically, shuttering and cleaning their pots. :D

I picked up a six line wrasse and a yellow watchman goby for my display. I moved some clowns out of tank 2 and added them to tank 1. I then moved a bucket of sand from my DSB to tank 2 and took it off line. I will be using this tank for my QT for these two fish. All water change water will be removed from the system and not recirculated.

OCP3 Bath IV was ladi down sometime today. About 10 white eggs visible already. Probably at least 400 eggs. We shall see how this progresses

FB

OCP3 batch IV is 90% gone. What would happen if I moved OCP4 male in with OCP3 female and OCP3 male in with OCP4. I'm not really to concerned if they stop laying since I'm not getting any eggs anyway.

OCP1 batch VIII is progressing as normal despite not being as orange as normal.

GSM VI was probably laid down yesterday.

My rots look to be in really good shape with 3 5 gallon buckets all growing well.

OCP3 and 4 are Ocellaris right? It might work.. I don't think it will help though. Who's eating the eggs? Stress? Remember mine ate eggs for a while then stopped laying. Now they are ok. Although they were eating some of the eggs on hatch day. I now pull them a day early.

Very cool to see a clown breeder that lives in my city.

Let me know if you ever successfully breed the black or GSM clowns. Would love to get a pair of either tank raised.

OCP1 batch VIII hatched last night about 85%. The others were white. They are all swimming well and have very plump bellies as I actually have rotifers to feed them.

No problem! Where are you in Brampton. I am at Bovaird and Kennedy!

OCP1 batch VIII is doing well still lots alive and eating rotifers. However they seem to get skinny pretty quick after eating all available rotifers.
