August Meeting

I will try to make it if I can. It will be Thursday before I can update the website though. I have been a slacker lately.

Ok so is one too early for everyone? Maybe we should make it at noon, then people can show up and eat at a normal lunch time?

Noon or one? suggestions?

For food...hmmmmm...it is August so a picnic theme sounds appropriate but we've had that at the last two meetings. I'd like to have sloppy joes as the main dish but Brent would absolutely kill me if we got sloppy joe stuff on the carpet (and with that many people SOMEone would get it on the carpet, hah hah). What about a Mexican theme? I could make stuff for tacos and people could bring appropriate sides, like cheese dips and chips, refried beans, homemade guacamole, mexican rice.

Does that sound good? Mexican? I just want to do something different (food-wise) than we have done for the past couple of meetings.

OK. Mexican theme! I'll supply ground meats (turkey and beef separately), lettuce, shredded cheese, small tortillas/taco shells, tomatoes (though if anyone has a garden and would like to bring some good ones let me know), plates, forks, knives, and some soda/water.

What does everyone else want to bring and who all is going to make it?

Noon sounds good, Sarah and I will be bringing Cheese dip. Mel do you eat ground turkey? Sarah can make it with ground turkey in it or with ground beef. Other than that the ingredients are a secret as we sometimes do not know what we are putting in it til we make it.
Someone could bring margarita fixins, or pina colada, or other mexican drinks.
Andy

P.S. We will also be bringing our club dues this meeting as well.

That sounds great Andy. I eat most meats now, but I definitely prefer turkey. Don't make something different on my account though! I do appreciate it.

Great to hear you'll be bringing your dues. You aren't the only one who needs to bring them! hah hah.

QUOTE: It's my fault this time...Art and broken Larry made it for me almost two weeks ago and even dropped it off. I just have been swamped......
For this statement I will be coming to this meeting and you better have the broke down hood on and working Mel.
that is my broke *** will be there hehehehe. just get the frag pliers out and we can see how broke I am

Mexican eh??? Well, its a good thing that beer goes with everything... lol I make pretty good guacamole, but thats not something that keeps well... Hmmmm, I'll probably just stick with Drinks as par usual... :) Though everyone loved my Food City Potato Salad last meeting...

So is everyone ok with noon??

What are you all bringing...you know I have to be curious about what food is gonna be there. I need to know what to start salivating over! hah hah.

Larry...even though you are broken you better get your as* over here for the meeting. We can frag frag frag away.

Randy guacamole sounds great!

Mel

Mexican cornbread for me. Well, not for me. I do not eat such spicy stuff. Well, actually, it is not all that spicy, I am just a whimp when it comes to any spice except for salt. I use way too much of that.

Noon is also find. Are we going to make frag plugs? If we go the way Chris suggested I can cut some PVC pipe. I will need to know what inside diameter, how thick, and how many, or how many of each size if you/we want more than one size. That is -- if you want me to do it. LMK

Eddie

Actually Art told me how he makes them, which is to just spread the mixture onto a board or something, then once it's dry just crack it up. Alternatively, he cuts the mixture (once it's spread onto the board) with a pizza cutter to make like perforations. Then once that is dry you just pop them apart. That's the idea that I like, but he said he likes just breaking it up randomly.

Maybe you could cut some PVC and we could do it several ways?

OK, I will cut some PVC. Any preference on size? I think the smallest I have is ¾. I also have 1 and 1.5 I think. Maybe some 1.25. How many? I do not mind cutting. But, if nobody will want them???

How thick?

I'm excited that I will finally be able to make it to a meeting and meet some of you. Noon sounds great to me. My wife said she would make some kind of Mexican Rice.
