Aurora area reefers

I've noticed there's quite a few reefers here in the Aurora area (Aurora, North Aurora, Oswego, Naperville). I've been thinking it'd be cool to get together once in a while over a cold one and share our experiences, show off our tanks, maybe get a telephone chain going to help each other out when needed. It could be the CMAS Aurora area group or something like that (if we made it official). Either way, I think we are doing ourselves a disservice by not acknowledging the amount of resources and experience in the area that all of us can use. This is no way meant to interfere with or supersede the CMAS. If anything I see it helping the group as it'll be a lot easier for us to get together locally since we all live close to each other. (CMAS let me know what you think here or PM me on the forum). What's everyone think? Who's down for a brew at the old roundhouse?

That's one of my main reasons for organizing this group. Flexibility with establishing meets. Are there certain days most of you have off or certain patterns you work? For example, I'm off all but three Sundays a year and I work two Saturdays then have one off. CMAS always meets on a Saturday. So I can only make around two meetings a year. So, everyone feel free to post your preferred day. Also, with enough notice can you request a day off? Lets say a Sunday afternoon.

Nice. Looks like we've got quite a few interested now. I'm thinking we shoot for a Sunday afternoon in the next two to three weeks. How are Sundays for everyone? We can just meet for lunch and a brew at the old roundhouse in Aurora, BS about our tanks, share info, set up a group tank tour/group purchase. Let me know a good Sunday before Christmas.

I'm good with one. I've been blessed with mine. It loves the spot it's in and hasn't moved more than an inch in the 7 months I've had him.
