Auto run RO container fill

Oh I see, had to read a little more carefully. Still seems like it could be incorporated as part of the system, but I suppose that's not as much fun. ;-)

yeah it could fit in with the system but thats $150 for 3 of them compaired to $30 for our other floats. and yeah, you miss the fun of makeing something yourself :p

One careful with those fittings that "look like stainless or aluminium". It is common for solenoid fittings to be nickel plated brass. Give it the scratch test to be sure.

The one I linked is a diaphragm valve. I am asking on Amazon what the spring is made of. Though to my untrained eye it looks like mild steel. But it could be stainless just without a shine to it. Will update if I get a response back. Tomorrow I will put one on the water inlet line and verify that it will hold closed with house water pressure.

But this spring stay in dry side. No water inside....

Alright as promised I did test and I does not leak by at house hold water pressure. Will let you know what that pressure is at a later time as I haven't measured it in a while.

Not going to post pictures yet. But it is installed and priming up/purging air. Let my tanks go empty so I will have to turn it off and on a few times to reflush the membrane. Till its full.

well its not the best looking but its going to do the job.

one thing to watch out for with the valves is they don't seal very well on the water lines.

Maybe put 90's on the lines where they're not hitting the solenoids straight on? I've had problems similar to yours before. 90's solved it.

I am considering that. They only leak when moved from their current positions. Will order 90's and install them when I install the replacement main valve it shipped defectives so I sent it back and reordered.

Take a small drill bit a hair larger then the ID and insert in the tubing to spread it a hair and it will seal.

The tubing OD changes from different brands slightly, so this solves the issue every time

Neat trick! I'll have to remember that.
