Auto Top Off

Kevin I use the osmolator hooked to a solenoid and the IKS topoff sensor (my aquarium controller) backs it up so there are actually two solenoids inline. In the interests of paranoia I have considered adding the autotopoff switch as a triple backup.

I'm looking at autotopoff.com too.
My situation: apartment-dweller, no can do a ro/di plumbing hookup to the tank. I've been dipping ro/di topoff water from a bucket.
Question: if I set a filled ro/di bucket near the tank, can putting the autotopoff unit in the sump control a small pump to deliver water while I'm on vacation?
It would certainly make life easier.

Yep. You could use a PH or something like a $10 Aqualifter pump.
