Automated fry catcher sucess!

Rarely do they hatch on day 7.. I have only had that happen one time for them to hatch on day 7 only because the tank temp had been like 82-84 for the entire week.

I wanted to share some pictures of the catcher in action.

daytime before the hatched.

fry inside the catcher.

I've emptied the catcher 3 times so far and it's still filling up.

It looks like those clarkis lay big clutches. My Perculas lay around a little over a hundred eggs so when I have 35 like I do now past meta I am so excited! Cant wait to see how your batch develops!

My percs were laying exactly 2 days after the eggs were all gone from the rock now they are laying on day 4 after all the eggs are gone..

Any reason this wouldn't work with seahorse's we've had our 3 girls for a year and a half and plan to add a male from the breeder to try our skills/luck

I could be totally wrong about this but don't think you could use it for Seahorse babies.
You might want to check the section for Seahores for breeding info.
