automatic water change pump recommendation

Hey if you don't mind asking but can you explain how the Genesis works ? Like what sensor does it use to make sure it changes the same amount. I look it up and those bucket seem almost the same size as my tank

The buckets/metering bins are the key to the accuracy. Each bucket has a stand pipe that allows the bucket to drain back to it's source once there is 1 gallon in the bucket. There are float switches in the metering bins that tell the Renew when to cut power to the pumps and also tell the Renew when the bins are empty.

When the Renew activates a water change, both the new salt water pump and the pump for waste water activate and pump water to each of the two metering bins. Once the bins are full, the sensor tells the Renew to shut the pumps off and a couple moments later, the pumps shut off. During that time, excess water overflows through the stand pipe and returns back to it's source. This insures that each of the two bins are perfectly full. About a minute after the pump shuts off, a solenoid opens at the bottom of each bin. The one with the new salt water drains to the sump or tank and the one with the waste would drain to a drain or where the waste line goes.

As you noted, the metering bins are kind of large. At least in comparison to a small tank.
This is one of my metering bins above my 100 gallon water holding tanks.

You can see my 2nd metering bin below my tank for my waste water.

O that a pretty bulletproof system then. Sounds simple in design, 2 bins with 2 float switch on each and a overflow tube in the bins. I am going to give one of the pump mention a try first either the stenner or Nautilus (can't seem to decide between the two) and if they don't work for me I may be building a pico version of the Genesis.
Man looking at your system is crazy everything is bigger then my tank:spin1::spin2:
