Availability of Red Serpent Brittle Stars

I use to own a red serpent brittle star. No one around here in San Diego seems to carry them anymore. Does anyone know if they are still available? And from whom?

Well I've done some checking around it seems no one sells the Red florida Serpent Stars right now. Interestingly enough live aquaria had some red Tongas in stock (not as red as Florida) but still attractive. Well they sold out while I was trying to decide whether to pull the trigger or not.

Less learned if you see something you like on line go for it.

Did you contact Ken @ Sealife, he has the little ones for sale but if you ask he may be able to get you a larger one, I've been wanting a little one for a while but have to find the $$.

Are these sea stars completely reef safe? What do they eat?

no serpent star is completely reef safe. When I did have a red serpent he was moderately agressive and anything he could get into his mouth he would. But he didnt attack my fish though.

so did it eat corals or snails or hemits?
