Avandss 265 Montreal Build

Looking good! I can't tell 100% but maybe you want to think about making some sort of top skirt that folds over all your electronics affixed to the stand? Just incase there is a spill from the top of the tank or something along those lines?

Thanks scythanith!

Did not think of that.... that's a great idea

This build will never end.

You can control warping (a bit) by adding a long tin bracing piece inside the lip edges - sort of like "euro-bracing".

The build is the most fun part to me! BTW, here is the ATS I built for my 265.

About the only thing I would change is to make the removable top lid out of glass. The acrylic warps too much.

Actually my top is not removable, its the side panel that is removable, and it stays shut with compression so even a little warping should not do anything, if it does i will change it to glass.

i learned so much building this ats! my next one will be amazing!

i also finished my in-sump frag tank, its huge, 18 long by 16 wide!

for the lighting i went with reefbreeders, very impressed by the light output (comparing it to my radions)

The only thing i am thinking of changing is the ATS leds, i have no idea what yet, but not Chinese chips as i want specific spectrums

try it out, you can use the arrows to see both qt's and sump!

It's all too neat and clean and organized! I'm feeling dizzy... must sit down...

How has this been working out? Seems to me you'd have issues with water leaking out of the side - particularly since you have it sitting on the sump rim (I have mind that way also).

Hey Calore, sorry for the late reply, we just had twins on july 30th and it has been hectic!

as for the ats it has been working perfectly, no splashing, no noise, no leaking, no warping.... super clean

here is a few updated pictures, i just need to reduce the light until i start getting green growth
