As a birthday present to myself (an old 32 now), I was wondering if anyone had a frag of red skirt/ blue centers to sell. I think they are also known as x-men palys.
Please PM me if you can frag these or have one ready to go.
. I'm afraid to frag them right now... I lost my PPE's and true RPE's just after fragging them for a trade (and my pink sparkles-were my favorites). Only the nice ones... Everything else grows like a weed.
Gary, don't you have those in one of your main tanks? Have you tried moving to your frag tank or somewhere else that has totally different lighting? Just curious.
I'm not suggesting this for my self, but have you considered moving them to someone elses tank (again... not mine) to see how they do? Right now their livelihood sounds dismal. Just curious if you've considered doing anything like that.
Well, I had an issue with Alk for a while and they dwindled away. They seem to be doing better now (it has been a lot easier to get the Alk/Ca balance correct on the LPS/softie than in the SPS tank-they just suck it all up too fast). If they start to look bad again (odd because everything else in that tank is doing great), I'll start exploring survival options.
Ryan~ Sorry, been in Memphis for some family stuff... Here's a pic of one of my frags...
I get pretty decent growth on these guys... But only in one of my tanks where the nutrient level is beyond extreme... lol Anyways, there's the pic I promised...
Eyes and tricks... lol They have white mouths... Oh, and I have decided that these only do well with a 15K+ spectrum... So if you go whiter for SPS growth, don't even bother... They'll wither away and die on ya... Big wastes of money... Gotta love this hobby...
Randy, I sent you a PM. I just upgraded to a single Hamilton 14k 250W MH. The hamilton is more blue than some... how do you think these would do under this light? Please msg me back.
Also... if anyone else has these pm me or leave a message here
