BZ has a small Blonde Naso (2"-2.5"). They are selling it as female. Are they doing is bc there is no guarantee of sex at that age? Or is there any way they can get a hint when it's small?

Question 2...everything I've read says these are hardy fish. Does anyone have any experience with them at this size? I want to put it w a small porc puffer.

If it is eating then yes very hardy, if not then it is a real toss up because sometimes they starve. What size tank? You should be looking at at least a 6' tank because they get huge. Mine went from 3" to 6 or 7" and I've had her less than a year.

I have a 55g for QT and a 8'x2'x30" DT. I want to get it as small as possible. Is there a better target size?

The only tank up and running is the 55g right now. The DT will have water in it by summers end.

As long as they are eating any size is fine. Feed NLS pellets, nori, and fresh seafood 3+ times a day to fatten him/her up.
I had a larger one that would only eat NLS and nori.
The one I have now eats just about everything but her diet is 90% frozen seafood because that is what I feed my other fish.
