Baby Sharks are hatched!

Sweet, What are you keeping them in?

They are in a 10 gallon hatching tank. It has a divider so the heater and suction from the filter cant get to them.

is it "normal" to have to cut them out?

Yes, in captivity the don't get their eggs tossed around or picked at from the outside so they need a little help.
I might add we have been watching their egg yolk to make sure they were ready.

nice looking sharks

Thanks Dwane

Nice! I hope they're eating for you. If not, try squid on a stick or tiny, live wounded guppies. Good Luck!!

Nice tip with the guppies might get some tonight!

Oh no. Have you tried all the common foods? Shrimp, squid, silversides, different types of fish fillets, maggots, bloodworms. All of the above soaked in garlic. Also try dim to no lighting. I have never attempted on a baby but know there has been success with tube feedings...as an absolute last resort

Yeah feeding is still a challenge.

As for tank size .... Huge people try and keep them in a 180 gallon but really that's small in my opinion. I'm doing a 6ft round tank @ 300+ gallons or a 8ft tank at about 700 gallons. They will be in a 90 gallon in about a month after I get them out of this quarantine tank and eating good.

Thanks guys
I figured they were ready because they had no yolk sack left.

My LFS had an egg come in with an order that looked like yours. I think it has been a month. The "owner" mentioned something about just waiting it out!

Great pictures.
