How many babies per breeding cycle do you get?

Do they need a holdfast or anything like a seahorse? I'm guessing not.

Protected but not listed as endangered.
Hobbyist can already purchase them if they have the budget and can find a seller willing to sell to them.

When we were photographing the sea dragons we had to keep a safety diver above them so they would not suffer decompression sickness. I would think that wild caught would be difficult to decompress properly.

How deep do they live?
