Many thanks RevHtree, Joe and DiazE!

1 teaspoon of each every night mixed in with the fish food. I keep the skimmer on. SPS and LPS definitely react when I put it in.

Thanks jrpdriver! I built the box because I wanted to be extra safe and keep the ballasts and other electronic devices away from any possible water leaks or drips. The ballasts are also warm so I avoid adding heat to the tank by keeping them in a remote location.

sorry, double post

That's a good idea, better safe than sorry! thanks

Thanks Keith. Do you live near Greenwich Aquaria? I've never been, but plan on going sometime soon. To get to check your tank out on the same day would be a treat.

BTW, that invite to chase albies, bonito and/or SBFT on the Cape is still open. :)

Can you comment on your skimmer.....it seems the popular thing to do is switch to and energy efficent needlewheel/pinwheel type skimmer such as a bubble king or Reeflo, yet you have resisted the urge.

Is it simply a matter of its not broke dont fix it or do you feel that the larger beckett skimmers are better?

Congrats again:D

How deep are your overflow boxes? (width from the tank to the back wall)
7 inches.

Great job.
Thanks Mike!

I'm about 45 minutes away so you are certainly invited to swing by after Greenwich Aquaria. Jason's display tank blows mine away :D Would love to do a fishing trip.

Thanks John. I've had good luck with my Beckett for the 2 years I've had it so I don't have any plans to switch in the near future.

From what I've seen online, Jason's DT blows everyone's tank away. ;) Some in the Boston area say it's the nicest tank they've ever seen. I imagine the height of his tank doesn't hurt.

In what direction are you 45 minutes from Greenwich Aquaria? Please say you're NE of them. :D

The fishing trip offer is always open. :)

It is a thing of beauty.

I'm NW. PM me when you plan to swing down.

I'm looking forward to it. Thanks Keith. :)

Congrats with TOTM, I really liked your tank right from the beginning because of the rockwork, but of course it looks even better now.
