Thanks Lunch and sivert55.
Thanks Tom. I use a long handle scrapper every other day to keep the back clean. The open top and rock work allow me to do this. Once every three months I get the spots behind the Tunzes when I take the units out for servicing.Originally posted by GlassReef
First of all - a totally amazing tank! Love your aquascaping - and this is such a great thread.
Like yours, the tank I'm currently having built will also have a thin sheet of black acrylic on the back pane. I am worried about being able to keep it clean. In every pic you post your background is immaculate. Would you mind sharing your method of keeping it so clean?
I appreciate that Rob. I have 1.5 inch drains coming out of the external overflows and 1 inch returns.Originally posted by savethereef
wow congrats on the tank. Your tank looks so nice i actualy made your FTS my wall paper.
I have a question about your tank. i am planning to upgrade again to the same dimension you have. what size drains are you running and what size returns. i am planning on running a 1.5 drain and two 3/4 returns. 1st one on the 2 foot mark and the other on the 5 foot mark.
Thanks again for the kind words. I was bummed about that pink acro. It was a prostrata and I grew it from a small colony I obtained from Atlantis Aquarium.Originally posted by Lowredranger
Sorry to hear about the large pink colony it looked to be growing very well.
Thanks for the pic that gives me a good idea on the room you have on both sides on your rock work, i was thinking going a little skinnier on the rock work although my dream is at least a year away.
Keep up the good work your tank goes from empty to amazing in just a year that is unbelievable.
